Bio

please don't eat my headI have been actively working as an editor, writer, developer, art director, and game designer in the tabletop roleplaying game industry since 1997. During that time I have contributed to over 80 published products in the hobby gaming industry. I have been employed by FASA (3.5 years) and FanPro (6 years), and I have freelanced for Eden Studios, Guardians of Order, and Catalyst Game Labs.

For 8 years I served as a developer (6 of those as lead developer) for the Shadowrun RPG, culminating in the co-design and creation of Shadowrun, Fourth Edition, a complete redesign and overhaul of the game that won two ENnie awards for Best Rules and Best Product.

In 2008 I co-founded Posthuman Studios with Brian Cross and Adam Jury. This creator-owned studio project is intended to be a vehicle by which we can license and publish our own game design and other work.

I am currently working as lead developer for the Eclipse Phase RPG, co-created by myself and Brian Cross, released by Catalyst Game Labs and Posthuman Studios in October of 2009. This game has garnered critical praise for its innovative setting and Creative Commons licensing. In 2010 it won the Origins Award for Best Roleplaying Game, a Gold ENnie for Best Writing, and Silver ENnies for Best Cover Art and Product of the Year.

Outside of the gaming community, I am a father, I teach martial arts, DJ rhythmic noise, play dodgeball, dance, and agitate for social change. I consider myself an anarchist and a transhumanist. I’m always up to something and I intend to live forever or die trying.
